New Gym Launched in Bush Fair, Harlow

An amazing open day for our NEW COMMUNITY GYM with Chris Vince MP cutting the ribbon towards brighter futures, a healthier, safer Harlow with opportunities and prosperity for the men and women of tomorrow in our Town!

Active Essex supporteed an applicationcation for funding equipment from Sport England for the place partnership expansion in Harlow which has created an amazing impact on our community in Harlow.

NEW PARTNERSHIPS announced during the evening

Contour Roofing Essex Limited agreed to offer our Active Essex transition project member’s apprenticeships for ages 16+ which has collaborated Harlow College & clcs boxing training on a 18month paid study programme.

City Used & Recycled Office Furniture - Harlow Showroom gave a full time job to a reffered student enrolled in 2023 from our Active Essex Foundation Sports and life skills pathway, initially funded by Harlows Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex and Box Smart Foundation programme. ALSO, commiting to sponsorship to support finance our community hubs rent and Business rates.

CYB3R has offered opportunities to work in the Tech and Communications industry for our participants attending across our supported programmes and reduced our communication rates to nil

Adaptive Boxing trainer Marcus has offered his support in building a future for particpants with Disabilities through 1-1 personal training and group boxing sessions from our gym

Well-being Fitness education centre have commited to offer a Personal Training, Sports Massage & Nutrition Courses for a student enrolled on our transition aged project, further more offering our community gym for 50% off on courses for up to Level 3 accredited personal trainer courses to be undertaken at our gym.
